Local Resources for Caregivers & Families

KAFPA works closely with community partners to connect foster, kinship, and adoptive families to trusted local programs, services, and supports. From county services to nonprofit networks, these resources help caregivers navigate the challenges of placement, training, access to essential items, and long-term family well-being.

Local Resoruces in Santa Clara County

KAFPA Resource Center

A central hub for families providing information, referrals, trainings, support groups, and community connection. It also offers space for meetings and resource access for caregivers in Santa Clara County.

Department of Family & Children’s Services (DFCS) – Resource Family Support

County services for resource families, including financial support, respite care, childcare assistance, and ongoing caregiving support.

Foster Kinship Education Services (FKCE)

Provides training and support to help caregivers meet educational requirements and better understand child development, behavior, crisis intervention, and more.

Parents Helping Parents

Parent support program offering education and guidance for families caring for children with special needs.
