KAFPA works closely with community partners to connect foster, kinship, and adoptive families to trusted local programs, services, and supports. From county services to nonprofit networks, these resources help caregivers navigate the challenges of placement, training, access to essential items, and long-term family well-being.
KAFPA Resource Center
A central hub for families providing information, referrals, trainings, support groups, and community connection. It also offers space for meetings and resource access for caregivers in Santa Clara County.
Foster Kinship Education Services (FKCE)
Provides training and support to help caregivers meet educational requirements and better understand child development, behavior, crisis intervention, and more.
Parents Helping Parents
Parent support program offering education and guidance for families caring for children with special needs.
Kinship Caregiver Resource Center (CCS)
Regional resource offering assistance, referrals, and support groups for kinship caregivers.
Valley Medical Services & CHDP (Child Health and Disability Prevention)
Medical services and health resources for children in care, including clinics that may see children before Medi-Cal cards are received.
WIC (Women, Infants & Children)
Nutrition support for eligible families with children under 5, including food and health resources.

Support for educational needs and learning challenges that may impact children in care.
