KAFPA is proud to celebrate the incredible dedication of kinship, foster, and adoptive caregivers during our Resource Parent Appreciation Day on May 14th. This special event is an opportunity for our community to come together and recognize the compassion, patience, and commitment resource parents show every day as they provide safe, stable, and loving homes for children and youth. Caregiving in the foster and kinship community requires tremendous heart, resilience, and advocacy, and this day is dedicated to honoring those who step forward to make a difference.

During Resource Parent Appreciation Day, KAFPA will take time to acknowledge the meaningful impact caregivers have on the lives of children and families throughout Santa Clara County. It is also a chance for resource parents to connect with one another, share experiences, and enjoy a moment of recognition for the vital role they play in strengthening our community. We are grateful for every caregiver who continues to show up with kindness, commitment, and unwavering support for the children they serve.
